HR 3004, 3504 en 4004 D: rotor harrows in fixed version

Contractors and machine experts know and appreciate the reliability and capacity of the models of the HR 3004 D and HR 3504 D. Models can also be counted on under difficult conditions. With a working width of 3.50 m, the HR 3504 D is also extremely suitable for tractors with dual air.

Especially on the front, this extension frame is extra resistant to high loads. A special square profile with reinforced corners ensures maximum stability here.

All 1004 HR power harrows are equipped with a lateral guide plate, which can be adjusted in height and length for adaptation to the various conditions of use. They are hinged and protected against damage with a counter spring.

A large three-point trestle with a solid square reinforcement profile gives the extension trestle of the HR 4004 and HR 4504 the stability required for long-term use. The mounting on the drive box is extra weighted with two reinforcement strips. The freely movable extension yokes guarantee trouble-free attachment to the tractor for all models in the HR 1004 series, as well as excellent ground adaptation.
All mounting points – including those of the top link – are made of hardened steel and can withstand the highest loads. The attachment pins are secured against twisting, which prevents unnecessary wear.

HRB 4004, 4504 en 5004 DR: flexible working

The folding rotor harrows from Kuhn can best prove their flexibility on irregularly shaped and smaller plots with a lot of transport from one plot to the other. They are quickly folded and transported.
The folding versions do not compromise on the well-known Kuhn stability. In addition, all users who need a universal and high-performance machine as a seedbed combination will find exactly the right solution with a folding rotary harrow in the widths of 4.00 m, 4.50 m and 5.00 m: with front tank and seed bar behind or with a precision seed drill and a front tank for the fertilizer.

The folding rotor harrows HRB 104 and HR 1004 DR can be combined with a seed drill and then provide optimum capacity. When building up a front tank, fertilizer can be applied at the same time.

The folding Kuhn rotary harrows, together with a front tank and two attached seed bars, form a compact combination during transport with an even weight distribution between the front and rear axles of the tractor. Top comfort when converting from transport to working position: it doesn’t get any easier and faster!

For the 4.00 m and 5.00 m wide models, the frame is made of a strong rectangular box profile. This offers the machine a strong and high dimensional stability.

Extra strong hinge pieces with bearing bushes and twist-proof hinge pins ensure an absolutely reliable connection between the two halves of the power harrow and the main frame. A typical Kuhn solution that allows you to continue working quietly and in a controlled manner even in the most difficult situations.

The power harrow can be adapted to different working conditions thanks to the Duplex drive with the gears that can be replaced and exchangeable. A continuous drive shaft belongs to the standard version. The total drive is equipped with a cam slip coupling as standard.

Because you also want to realize further expansion possibilities later on, the frame of the folding headers from 4.00 m to 5.00 m is already equipped with an attachment option for seed bars in combination with a front tank.

All folding power harrows HRB 104 DR and HR 1004 DR are equipped with lateral guide plates, which can be adjusted not only in height, but also forwards and backwards in order to best adapt to the different conditions of use.

The 4.00 m to 5.00 m working width models are equipped with leveling scissors as standard. These scissors are located between the two power harrow halves for the packer rolls and ensure optimum leveling over the total working width.

Thanks to the technically sophisticated folding, the machine behind the tractor forms a compact unit that protrudes as little as possible to the rear. The favorable center of gravity moreover ensures a lower load on the three-point hitch of the tractor.

HRB 122, 152, 182 en 202 power harrows

Duplex drive: for the toughest conditions of use

• The entire drive is secured as standard by a slip coupling or on request by means of a cam slip coupling. A continuous drive shaft is standard on all Kuhn power harrows.

The heavy-duty extension frame guarantees great stability and lasts a long time.

Side plates:

• The soil flow is well supervised by the specially shaped side plates and dam formation is prevented.
• The side plates are attached to the support arms of the rear roller and therefore these plates follow all movements of the rear roller.

HRB 303, HRB 353 en HBR 403 D power harrows: the new tone

Kuhn’s new HRB 103 series power harrows are the result of years of testing and research in the field of driven tillage. We have always focused on four important goals:

The heavy rectangular profile of the extension frame of the HRB 103 series ensures great stability. The extension yokes and their attachment to the three-point trestle are made of hardened steel and the pins blocked against twisting are extremely strong and form-retaining. With the HRB 403 model, the extension stand with a wide base plate and 2 additional reinforcement profiles is attached to the power harrow.

With the Duplex change gears you can easily choose the rotor speed that best suits your circumstances. Thanks to the drive that is moved upwards and backwards, the power harrow can be built behind various tractors without any problems. The entire drive is protected as standard by an automatic torque limiter.

The bearing of the HRB 103 rotary harrow is located in a rectangular bearing housing, which simultaneously protects and additionally reinforces the gearbox on the underside.

HR 6004 DR: for the highest capacity

Today’s agricultural management is all about profitability: investment and operating costs must be reduced and productivity must continue to rise. Anyone who wants to be at the forefront of this must have reliable machines with a high capacity to be able to fully meet current requirements. Machines such as the HR 6004 DR: with a working width of 6 m and the solid construction typical of Kuhn meet the highest requirements in terms of capacity, reliability and service life.

The main frame of the HR 6003 DR has a particularly heavy design: two rectangular profiles with large dimensions give no chance to deformations and rotations of the frame and enable an absolutely reliable bearing of the hinge pieces for folding in the machine halves.

The double hinges on the main frame are also designed for the heaviest loads. With their solid construction, they actively contribute to the stability of the entire power harrow.

The HR 6004 DR has a central, angular drive and alternating gear drives on the two separate machine halves, whereby different rotor speeds can be achieved by converting and changing gears. Both machine halves are secured with a cam slip coupling – that means the highest operational reliability under all circumstances! With this drive concept, this machine is designed for tractor power up to 206 kW / 280 hp.

HR 6040 R en 8040 R folding headers

With the new foldable harrows HR 6040 R and HR 8040 R (with 6 m and 8 m working width respectively), Kuhn focuses in particular on contracting companies and large arable farms that are looking for a high-capacity, light-drawn and independent solution. the soil conditions certainly and efficiently prepared an ideal seedbed. This applies to both superficial and deep tillage in the spring as well as in the autumn and also in dry or wet conditions.

The new Kuhn headers with a larger working width fulfill these requirements in terms of reliability and productivity. Both models are equipped with an information box as standard. This informs the driver in the tractor cab when an overload coupling slips or when the maximum permissible oil temperature in one of the three drives is exceeded.

The machines have been developed for maximum reliability. Every detail has been looked at to ensure that the work can continue even under harsh conditions and prolonged use. All components such as the power train (mounting stand, cladding, main and side drives with forced lubrication, rotor drive, power take-off) of the HR 6040 R and HR 8040 R power harrows can handle 460 hp and 500 hp respectively.

The very large capacity of up to 100 ha per day is closely linked to the working width of both models, but that is not the only thing that matters. The harrows can be adjusted very easily to different soil conditions. This contributes to the optimization of the capacity as well as the quality of the seed bed. The decisive factor here is the hydraulic adjustment of the working depth of the leveling board from the tractor cab.

No compromise is made with regard to the desired quality of the seed bed. This important basic principle can be found in various details of the new headings:

• 3.5 rotors per m. Working width as an ideal solution, not only for stone-rich soils, but also for large quantities of crop residues.
• A leveling board, which is adjusted relative to the roll, ensures a suitable crumbling and can be quickly adjusted independently of the working depth of the header.
• By the up to 500 rpm adjustable rotor speeds allow dry and clayey soil to crumble efficiently.

Thanks to an extensive range of accessories, such as track wrappers, rollers, etc., the header harrows can be adapted to any situation.
